Driven by a mission to raise the standard in the electrical trade, I launched The Electrical Academy to empower the next generation of electricians with real-world skills, industry insight, and job-ready confidence.

I’ve been in the electrical field for 25 years, and for the past 20, I’ve been focused on training apprentices and mentoring electricians. Teaching the trade has always been where I thrive—it’s one of the most important parts of being a Master Electrician, and it’s the reason I built the Academy in the first place.

Through Spark Forward Electric (Call Sparkies), I’ve built a company known for reliability, precision, and professionalism. That same foundation drives the Academy, where we bridge the gap between classroom theory and job site reality—helping people break into the trades and grow into confident, capable professionals.

Instructor-Led & Self-Directed Study

The Electrical Academy offers a combination of classroom and practical education to accelerate your hireability. We offer easy access to training videos and a 3-part highly developed learning module. Participants receive interactive skill and knowledge testing after each module to guide advancement.

On-Site Assessment

After demonstrating core competency, you’ll progress to our field-level experience. There you will meet industry experts who support your training, identifying areas of focus to build a stronger skillset. You can expect multi-stage site assessments on a real jobsite, by a potential employer.

The Electrical Academy framework consists of 3 modules combining instructor-led, self-directed learning and on-site assessment. You will progress through the program, meeting benchmarks along the way, to ensure skill development.
